New Harmonies: Exploring American Roots Music

SDHC will bring the Smithsonian exhibit entitled New Harmonies: Exploring American Roots Music to the state for a tour in 2011. This exhibition explores the history and importance of music. It asks audiences to listen to American music and hear the story of freedom and cultural identity. Applications to host this exhibit will be sent in early 2009.
